bArcELonA - DaY 3

We checked out of our hotel early morning. Dragged our luggage across the highway (got pictures to prove it  ) to the bus. Then took a train to Estacio de Sants where we left our luggage at the luggage locker. Then we made our way to Port Olimpic. Changed into our bathing suits. Rose sunbathe cos she wanted a tan. I just slept enjoying the warmth of the sun. Wanted to mandi laut but the water was icy cold. After that we had lunch at Pan & Company. The sandwiches was sooo sedap. Nyam nyam. We went to HRC to exchange our baby tees which we bought yesterday. Then went and pick up our luggage and made our way to the airport. Since we arrived early, we just had a look at the duty free shops. But it was bloody expensive! We departed at 8.55pm (Spain hours). Sedih jugak, cos Barcelona was a nice city.
If ever given the chance again, I would definitely want to come visit Barcelona. And next time I wanna spend more time visiting all of Gaudi's works. Oh and lepak by the beach.
A very memorable & informative trip indeed

woke up really early cos we wanted to catch up with the tour bus. i wanted to see all of antoni gaudi's works. he's a noted architect in spain. unfortunately i didnt catch la pedrera on camera  . but i saw his other 3 works: casa batllo, sagrada familia & park guell. they're all just maginificent!! 
Architecture by Antoni Gaudi
Casa Batllo: Built between 1904 and 1906. Named after the Batllo family.
La Pedrera: Built between 1906 and 1910. Also known as Casa Mila. It was inspired by the movement of waves on the imposing stone facade.
Sagrada Familia: A cathedral inspired by the forest. Spectacular size! Still under construction.
Park Guell: Named after Count Eusebi Guell. Inspired by the nature. Gaudi's work in garden form.
Other places that we visited:
Placa de Espanya: The gateway to the great park of Montjuic. Boasts the monumental fountain (by architect Josep Maria Jujol) & the two Venetian towers.
Anella Olimpica: One of the four important sites of the 1992 Olympic's. Located on top of Montjuic.
Miramar-Jardins Costa i Llobera: Named after the Majorcan poet Costa i Llobera. A garden showcasing various botanical species. We took a cable car from here.
Torre Jaume I: A steel tower which is the cable car's first stop. Situated near the World Trade Center.
Barcelonata: The second stop of the cable car. Offers breathtaking view of the port, beach & sea.
Port Vell: The oldest part of Barcelona harbour. A major leisure complex. Didnt get to go to L'Aquarium.
One of the highlights of the day; Futbol Club Barcelona. The stadium has been around for more than a hundred years. It's the biggest stadium in Europe & the third biggest in the world (if i have my facts right). There was a match between Valencia & Barcelona on that day. Sooooo many people came to watch the match. Watai bising sebab i didnt go and watch Ronaldinho even though i had the chance to. But me & rose, being girls, spent hours in the gift shop.  Sorry sayang, but I dont enjoy football
We had dinner at starbucks & hot chocolate at Port Vell. Also shop for souveniers at La Rambla.

We left the house at 4.45am. We were soooo excited we couldnt sleep  . Kak Ta sent us off (and she balik KL that night  ). We arrived in Barcelona at 10.30am and took a cab to Hotel Barbera Parc. Turns out our hotel was on the outskirt of Barcelona (it wasnt even on the map). Jauh gila. It was near the highway, so to go to the city we had to jalan kaki cross the highway, take a bus & a metro (equivalent to a tube). Susah payah jugak la nak sampai city, but it was kelakar laaa. Adventure?  hehehehe.
Anyway, first up was Placa de Catalunya. From there we walk along Passeig de Garcia where they have all the branded shops. Almost like a shopahalic heaven  . But we both tak mampu la, so we had a snack at Navarra je. The weather was nice & sunny  . After that we walk along La Rambla. Very famous for it's little shops, souveniers & street performances. We walked so far sampai Colom-Museum Maritim. Then we had dinner at El Celler del. We ate seafood tapas. It was good!! After a long and tiring day & a full stomach, we went back to the hotel. Our kaki sakit sangat sebab we walked all day long, so we soaked our kaki in the bath tub.....aaahhh

today while the adults went to a factory outlet, me & rose was assigned to take the kids out. we took the tube. it was a long journey, and we got bored. kasih fell asleep while she sat on me. we had ice cream before proceeding to the tower of london. i think it was more of rose taking care of 4 kids, cos i was mesmerised by the castle.....as was kasih. she keeps asking the people working there where's the princess & where's the picture of the princess. hahaha.....so comel  . after a very interesting & educational day we headed home.

we went to chessington park today. it's a big amusement park for kids. but of course due to my physicals, i was well fitted in the group . anyway, i actually had a great time. very exhausting but great! all the kids slept like angels in the car on our way back home.

it was rose's 23rd birthday! finally! no more "i'm younger than you". hehehehe. she had class that day. after her class, we all met up at whiteleys in bayswater. then, off to dinner at khan's. sedap......! then at home.....we makan the bday cake. the cake was very pretty & big. ah well......wishing rose a wonderful year ahead

at the airport.....again

my flight was at 12pm. it was monday, a working day, hence most people were at work. i was sad that watai couldn't be there  . but at least my mum, my cousins & the boys came. jaja, fara & baby ryan......gonna miss our silly outings & activities. keef, eman, shamsul & nan.....thanks for making time to come to the airport. oh well.....see u guys in december

i had tea at watai's house on his mum's invitation. but sampai2 all of watai's dad's siblings were there (his dad has 12 siblings). so agak terkejut.  hehe. made me feel soooo nervous  . i was so kaku. but thankfully watai, ara & amin made me relax. thanks guys . the best time was to layan nazim. hehe. he's so gebu & comel. die gelak macam budak besar & his badan gegar2.....hehehe  . i got to snap a few pictures of him. but to distract him from grabbing the camera, i had to give him my car keys. and he jovially & dengan selamba tried to on the engine of a motorcycle using my keys. hahaha. i drive a car not a motorcycle laa baby nazim.

at night, some of my friends came over to say goodbye, since they're working tomorrow. it wasnt a grandeur goodbye anyway cos i'll be back in 6 months. i think most came over to makan free. hehehehe . my mum made nasi lemak (which i'm longing for right now). chek & chek nen came over as well.....and they brought sate and kuey tiow. soooo lagi suka la budak2 tu. hehehe. anyway, thanks guys & girls for coming over. i dun get this kind of attention very much. gonna miss u loads

i had loads of fun today! watai had the day off. yay!!  we started of our day by having lunch. then we went to pusat sains negara. it was quite disappointing really. tak best sangat. the only interesting thing were the fishes. then we were off to the petting zoo in bandar sunway. this was much more fun  . we got to touch most of the animals. we spend a lot of time main longkang fishing. i had parrots on my arm. hehe. but snakes....eeee.....geli  . after that we had dinner with anuar, fara, jaja & pojie on the rooftop of lanai gurney. ada barbeque. the ketam was superb . got udang, lamb, chicken, mihun, cakes etc. the food was good!!
all in all......it was one of my best day spent. one of the few times where i feel absolutely & blissfully happy

was held in the morning. at 10am. it was suppose to be at 12pm....so agak kelam kabut cos some of us arrive late. not our fault. sapa suruh start awal tak inform. the kenduri was because uncle atan moved into his new home. the family members wore purple . banyak aktivi amik gambar and tgk dvd ayah pin. agak horror la ayah pin tu .

started preparing for the bbq to be held at pok leh's. everyone kelam kabut preparing the food cos nak be done in time for AF konsert. the food was GREAT by the way . the lamb was superb!! during konsert ramai sangat peminat mawi. only me, nina & poji yg support amylea. ah well. mawi's aura that night at the house was soooo kuat. especially the vibe coming from jaja. too bad he's engaged jaja  . hehe.

we all had supper at kopitiam. pok leh's idea. best! then we all round round teluk chempedak dalam kereta. in conclusion, this trip was a good way of spending family quality time . wishing for more to come
